/ Cal Fire Status Update: as of 10/18/2019 an official
advised me (he followed up as agreed) that the repeater issue
with Cal Fire is being worked on. I was advised that there are
people on our side; that the value of Ham Radio locally is
recognized; and that this is an educational issue for those that
were taking the action. Our Shasta County repeaters are still
up. My next contact will be on 11/1/2019. In the meantime, I am
going to let this ride so that we don't "pour more gas on
the fire". I appreciate the communications from
the official I spoke with. Thank you.
