| The
FAST program has been initiated due to continuing attacks on the prior SER
plan. The attacks and destructive efforts have continued for years and have been
sourced from certain local ham actions and
others. This has reached
the point of exhaustion.
As of 7/18/2026 there was yet another attack on the radio
emergency program just prior to midnight. Such was during a Cal
Fire tone out for a reported fire in Shingletown (5000 square foot structure -
which turned out to be a false alarm). Silent Monitoring monitored
Cal Fire radio traffic.
It is sad that a working plan to provide for general community safety
(including evacuation from wild fires) is
continually attacked by Evil. A normal person recognizes that we all burn the
same in a forest fire, but it is clear that you can't fix
stupid.
Prior formats and resources may continue to be used, however,
the Program objectives have been substantially scaled down and limited. Focus is
now on the Fire Alert Safety Team Select Radio Operators, and
coordination with Cal Fire.
